Teaching and Tutoring Experience

David has taught mathematics across four secondary schools over 28 years, including 11 years’ experience teaching A Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics. Most recently, he has specialised in delivering the Pure Mathematics content of the A Level Further Mathematics course. He brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to his teaching, with a particular ability to inspire confidence in students and help them recognise their own potential and achieve success.

As Head of Mathematics in a local secondary school, David led improvements in the quality of teaching and learning in Maths, contributing to the school achieving an Ofsted rating of ‘Good’, having previously been judged ‘Inadequate’. He has also worked as a Key Stage 5 Coordinator, overseeing resources, teaching and curriculum content to ensure they aligned with the ambitions of the school’s successful Key Stage 5 provision.
