Pete has been teaching for over 30 years. He has worked in several secondary schools teaching across the full age and ability range including A Level Maths. He has taught all sections of the curriculum, Pure, Mechanics and Statistics in this time. This expereince has given him a good understanding of the curriculum and allows him to adapt quickly to the individual needs of his students. His strengths lie in the pure and mechanics topics but he is also able to confidently support students with the statistics section of the course.

When Pete moved to his present position he took on teaching Further Maths. He has taught both pure and mechanics topics at this level. Over the last few years Pete has increased his post 16 teaching and now only teachs A level Maths and Further Maths. He is the main teacher for the Further Maths A level Pure topics and supports the Key Stage 5 lead in developing the school resources and trying to improve performance for all A level students. This involves reviewing exam papers and mark schemes to ensure the content delivered matches the requirements of the exams.

Pete has been a post 16 tutor for the last 10 years. This involves supporting students through their A level studies. As part of this role he regularly helps students with applications for University and Apprenticeships. He has also worked with and supported students when they are untaking university entrance exams, e.g. TMUA.
